S2 finale spoilers in-thread

The key to Jim's room in Milliways seems to have disappeared.

Curious, that.

It's several days until the key is used again. Sherlock has wound down from the initial excitement on Sunday (the excitement on the BBC; the bar was just ordinary chit-chat), and has found himself on the wrong end of a terrible sleeping pattern again.

When he does finally want to crash, he does not want to do it in the bar. Not in a public space. And the room he rents is, well... not really suited for sleeping, given there isn't a square inch of it that isn't full of some sort of can of paint or bucket of markers.

But he does have a key. A key to a room that isn't exactly private, but he feels like he more or less knows the person who owns it. At least, he knows him well enough to not slit Sherlock's throat in his sleep.

So, Moriarty's room it is. Ordinarily, Sherlock would snoop. He'd dig around to see what he could find, attempt to crack the safe (he's never been good at it, but everyone gets lucky once in a while), maybe pick through the sock drawer. But not today. Passing out is all Sherlock has planned, and that's exactly what he does. He doesn't even bother with getting under the duvet.
